Snuggle up with Slumber Kins

I love a toy with a purpose... and from the moment I meant the Slumber Kins, I knew my kids would grow up with these cuddly pals and their accompanying affirmation. My firstborn has a slumber sloth, and my second has an alpaca snuggler.

We wanted to make sure our foster kids felt included... so meet Cocoa and Softie! 💕
My sister gifted Miss M with her green sloth for Christmas, and for several weeks we watched how much our foster son would love on Softie (he named it), but always make sure his sister had her sloth for bedtime!

We decided to let him choose a Kin for his own, and since they cover many aspects of growth he can benefit from, I felt confident his own choice would be best... and he choose Bigfoot!

Who is not only super cute, but comes with a book that is about self esteem! It also has a calming process in the book, which we’ve used several times with him since Cocoa arrived.

If you are looking for a lovey with a purpose (and that is oh so soft) than look no further then the Slumber Kins! 💕

Focus roller for foster kid support

I decided to add some tips I have for foster parents. We’ve only been foster parents for about a year, but we have used oils for almost a decade! If I can help even one family, it is worth sharing what I know!

Our toddler placement has a lot of trauma he is working through, and this roller and routine has helped ground him in our love & security.

Feel free to share with foster &/or adoption families you know who may want to add the power of oils to their trauma informed routines.

Stay safe & well!

You will be okay!

Life can be overwhelming. I feel like 2020 took the challenge a bit personally, but I’m not one to shy away from a challenge!

We’ve done a lot of hard things in our life, but I feel like becoming an accidental foster family, especially in 2020 has topped our list!

In case you haven’t heard it lately, it is okay to not be okay all the time! This has been a rough year! Give yourself grace!
