Why essential oils?
What causes a person to be so desperate for relief that they turn to natural medicine- herbs, essential oils, nutritional supplements and the like?

For me, the journey started with frustration and really poor health. First I ended up with what I call “alphabet soup”. After years of being a pin cushion for various doctors, I was no closer to real answers. They kept sending me to specialist after specialist, and all I had to show for it was a variety of what they told me were diseases. Each with its own acronym or initials, amounting to a pile of letters such as IC, VVS, IBS, fibro, PPCM etc, and handful upon handful of pills, but no real relief.

So as a great observer of people, I did what I always do, I watched for people who were getting healthy. Or improving upon the natural health and vitality they already seemed to possess. And while I have spent decades now refining my lifestyle and how I eat, one pretty immediate common denominator I found was they were using herbs and essential oils.

And I wanted in on that!

Next month I will celebrate 9 years as a Young Living essential oil user, and a decade of learning to utilize essential oils and herbal supplements to help bring my health back into balance! In that span, I’ve learned time and again that one of the best tools I have (and you do too) is a community of like minded people who are finding their own path forward, because they too have had to learn things the hard way!

Once I started learning about how essential oils work, I found that two major things stood out clearly & made them attractive to me- 

First of all, essential oils are super potent and work very, very quickly (and as I soon learned, effectively)! So I could find immediate relief from anxious thoughts, tired muscles, and breathe in relaxing scents almost instantl!

The second reason I was sold was how they work with our brains to help balance emotions and reach feelings that can become locked in our bodies. One bonus reason I love using them is also they just smell good! Instead of spraying myself with a perfume (likely filled with unknown “fragrance” additives) I can just rub some jasmine or palmarosa on my wrists and enjoy the real deal! And there ain’t no one in town quite as relaxing as REAL lavender essential oil!
